Ningde CATL Successfully Completes Commissioning and Power-on Acceptance of KYN28-12 High-Voltage Cabinet for Battery Cathode Material Factory
Ningde CATL, a globally leading innovative technology company in the new energy sector, has been dedicated to driving the development and advancement of the new energy industry. Recently, CATL’s battery cathode material factory in a certain location achieved a significant milestone in its electrical infrastructure project—the commissioning and power-on acceptance of KYN28-12 high-voltage switchgear cabinets. The successful implementation of this project not only demonstrates CATL’s expertise in electrical infrastructure construction but also marks a new level of electrical support for its battery cathode material factory.
KYN28-12 high-voltage switchgear cabinets, as a representative of indoor metal-clad withdrawable switchgear equipment, are characterized by compact structure, superior performance, and reliability. With a rated voltage range of 3.6kV to 12kV, they are widely used in power distribution and control systems. For this project, CATL chose KYN28-12 high-voltage switchgear cabinets provided by Gongshun Electric, a professional electrical equipment supplier renowned for its rich industry experience and high-quality products. Gongshun Electric earned CATL’s trust and recognition based on these attributes.
During the project implementation, Gongshun Electric not only supplied the KYN28-12 high-voltage switchgear cabinets that meet national standards and industry requirements but also dispatched professional technicians for on-site guidance and installation. Additionally, the KYN28-12 high-voltage switchgear cabinets feature a “five-prevention” interlocking function, which prevents switching on with load, switching on with grounding wire, entering a live compartment by mistake, switching off with load, and inability to engage grounding switch. These functions ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment during operation, providing solid electrical support for CATL’s battery cathode material factory.
It is worth mentioning that the commissioning and power-on acceptance of the KYN28-12 high-voltage switchgear cabinets were not without challenges. Throughout the project implementation, technicians from both CATL and Gongshun Electric encountered numerous difficulties and obstacles. For example, precise alignment and commissioning were required during equipment installation to ensure its proper function; various extreme operating conditions and fault scenarios needed to be simulated during testing to verify the equipment’s performance and safety. However, thanks to the professional spirit and relentless efforts of the technicians from both sides, these challenges and difficulties were ultimately overcome.
